Layered Landscapes

Service Description

Create a landscape using the ends of sheets of glass from Youghiogheny Art Glass! This two week class starts with students choosing the glass they'd like to use, cutting and laying out the pieces, and then creating a few small elements from modeling glass to enhance the landscapes. Week two, students will paint their modeling glass elements with enamels and then build zinc edges for each layer to support the pieces in the standing frame. Bring your zinc scraps, this is a great way to use them! Glass cutting and soldering experience recommended. Price includes tuition, enough modeling glass and paint for 3 small elements, a 3 layer stand, and enough solder to frame the layers. Heads & tails glass and zinc extra.
